Marco began studying music at the age of 14 and at the age of 16 he began studying with maestro Marino Salvatore with an emphasis on the study of the saxophone and music theory. He was accepted at the Conservatory L. D'Annunzio (Pescara) the following year. Under the guidance of maestro G. Di Bacco, Marco successfully graduated from the Conservatory D’Annunzio in 2006. Marco was invited to participate in a competition at the annual review of 2006 in Castrocaro. This competition is reserved only for the top graduates of the year.
Marco has participated in seminars, campus and private lessons with the best classic Italian and European saxophonists, following many live performances as a solo artist and with Saxsophia quartet.
Marco, along with Saxsophia Quartet, participated in the “Festival International D’Orgue 2011” (Ville de Morges, Switzerland) performing premiered compositions by the masters Costantinidis D. and A. Morricone.
He has collaborated with the Marrucino theatre of Chieti as well as an orchestral soloist in Ravel's Bolero, directed by maestro M. Desderi and in Gershwin’s "An American in Paris" with direction by maestro D. Renzetti. Marco has followed jazz courses taught by Italian and American masters as well as various seminars with internationally recognized saxophonists. Marco was featured on an album with Italian musician Giulio Corda and contributed to the Frank Zappa tribute album “Fast and Bulbous”, whose talent inspired him. Marco plays in local groups and bands; he can be heard far and wide across Italy. Some of Marco’s inspirations include: E. Marienthal, M. Brecker, D. Koz, Kenny G, Kirk Whalum, Joe Lovano , M. Lington, G. Albright etc… Marco’s favourite genres include: pop, smooth jazz, lounge music, ambient, chill out etc…
